Good afternoon. The lake (Lake Corpus Christi) is 15.5% full. Quite low at this time. Many people who have property along the lakeshore have never seen it this low. The current air temperature is 89° and today’s high is 92° with a low of 76°

The current lake water temperature is 82°

At this time our boat launch at Weber’s Boat Landing is completely out of water and inaccessible to boat launchers. Canoe, 🛶 kayak or paddle board users can still launch at Weber’s. The cove we are located in (Charquitas Creek Cove) is very shallow. Anyone could walk across the cove with their head and shoulders completely out of water. Lots of stumps are showing up now that we are so shallow.

We haven’t had anyone come by to fish over the last week. I have called around to see if anyone has been fishing in our neighborhood. Doesn’t seem like there has been much fishing around us. One thing we have noticed lately is there have been a tremendous amount of mayflies hatching from the waters each night. Some of us think that the extreme amount of mayflies hatching has to do with low quantities of small minnow, perch and baitfish
