It is currently raining right now. The forecast for Lake Corpus Christi mid 60’s overnight and low 80’s during the daytime though next weekend.
Winds are at 5 mph with gusts possible up to 10 mph. Humidity is 95% and visibility is clear up to 8 miles.
Current Lake Corpus Christi water temperature is 54°F. Water level is 76.67 feet out of the 94 foot full level so 12.3% full as of December 22nd 2025
Actual fishing is pretty rare these days. Mostly that is due to the difficulty with getting a watercraft onto the lake. All public boat ramps are long out of water. The shallow state of the water level makes it dangerous to be on the lake. This is due to submerged hidden obstacles like tree trunks, stumps and brush. Only an experienced fisherman with a good pair of waders would be able to access the water at this point.
We had a few cabins rented this past weekend with parents and teenagers talking about fishing from shore. But the way our cove bottom topography is – makes it only inches deep for a great distance from the shore. One can hardly get to water deep enough to fish in 🎣 even with a rod and reel.
