Lake Corpus Christi sits at 9.4% full as if this morning. Currently partly clouding. It’s projected to be warmer this week.
Gusty winds 39-35 mph with sustained winds of 20-25 mph.
Daily temperatures will be in the low 80’s and overnight temperatures will be in the low 60’s through the next week.
We have later afternoon shower potential 30-35% chance of rain later in the day.
The outdoor UV index today is low, currently at Level 2.
There were fishermen fishing from the shore nearby this week. They were positioned at the mouth of Charquitas Cove right where it turns out to the main lake body. It’s a little deeper in that area because of its close proximity to the natural river bottom beneath the lake surface.
Since we were busy doing some preseason clean up, we weren’t able to contact these fishermen to inquire whether they caught fish. But they were patient enough to spend 3-4 hours on the rock bluff sitting along the Pernitas Point edge of our cove.
